Affirming Therapy Unique to You.
An inclusive and safe virtual therapy space.
For individuals with marginalized identities and allies anywhere in California.
I see you and I’m with you.
Therapy can feel radically different when you don’t have to explain or defend your identity. You deserve to be met with care, respect, and curiosity, not assumptions. When you are seen and validated for who you are, it builds the safety and trust needed to do deep, meaningful healing work.
In our work together, we will explore what it means to live more fully as your authentic self. We’ll reflect on your story, celebrate who you are, clarify what you want and need, and move through the patterns or beliefs that no longer serve you. Together, we’ll identify what may be getting in the way of living a life that feels most aligned and address the parts of your experience that leave you feeling low, unseen, anxious, or out of place.
This is affirming therapy that centers your identity, challenges unhelpful narratives, and supports your healing on your terms, and in a way that aligns with your values.
If you’re curious about what is possible in therapy that truly affirms who you are…YOU’RE IN THE RIGHT PLACE.

Build stronger, healthier relationships that are in alignment with your values
Understand and process the impact of systemic oppression—including heteronormativity, cisnormativity, racism, and other forms of discrimination
Increase self-worth and confidence so you can feel more grounded and empowered
My approach to working with marginalized communities is client-centered and collaborative. We’ll work together to build an authentic therapeutic relationship based on trust, openness, and respect.
Unlearned the shame rooted in marginalization and stepped into a fuller, freer version of yourself.
Imagine if you…
Released narratives that no longer serve you and got clear on who you are, what you need, and your vision for your life.
Let go of self-doubt and inner criticism, and started trusting yourself to make aligned, empowered choices.
Learned how to recognize what feels safe and nourishing in relationships, and let go of what’s harmful or draining.
Lived more freely as yourself, without always feeling like you need to shrink, explain, or perform.
I’m here for you.
Let’s figure out a path forward together.

Common questions about Affirming Care and Therapy.
-
Affirming care means I offer therapy that actively affirms your identities, validates your lived experiences, and advocates for marginalized communities.
As an affirming therapist also with intersecting identities, I embrace all aspects of who you are and identities you may hold. I do not view your gender or sexuality as something to be pathologized or “fixed.” Instead, I celebrate them as valid, beautiful parts of who you are.
Affirming care also means taking a clear stand against harmful systems that impact marginalized communities. I recognize the ways systemic oppression and societal bias can shape mental health, relationships, and daily life.
-
I often work with queer, trans, nonbinary, BIPOC, and neurodivergent communities, as well as those who are allies. I work exclusively with clients who are 18 and older. I also work with clients who are non-monogamous, kinky, or sex workers.
Beyond identities, I work with people navigating a variety of life experiences, such as:
Queer or non-traditional relationships
Gender exploration
Significant life changes
Financial stress, money anxiety, or financial trauma
Psychedelic use and integration
Work-related stress or career transitions
Anxiety, depression, and trauma symptoms
My clients come to me for many different reasons, but my values remain the same: to provide a safe, affirming, and nonjudgmental space where you can explore, heal, and grow.

Your first session will be a virtual 55-minute intake where we’ll get to know each other, talk about what brings you to therapy, and explore your history and current needs. This is also your time to ask questions and get a sense of how we might work together.
Ongoing therapy sessions are virtual 45-minute appointments. If you’re engaging in Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) or Therapy Intensives, those sessions are longer—typically 2.5 hours or more—and may be offered in person in Oakland or online.
If you’re curious about what therapy might look like for you, I encourage you to schedule a free consultation call. We can talk through your questions, my specialties, and how we might work together in a way that feels supportive and right for you.
-
I’m not currently accepting clients for relationship therapy. My work primarily focuses on individual therapy, supporting one member of the relationship. If you and your partner(s) are working with another therapist for relationship therapy, I’m happy to collaborate with them as needed to help support your shared goals.
-
All standard therapy sessions—including the initial 55-minute intake and ongoing 45-minute appointments—are held virtually via Zoom.
If you’re engaging in Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) or Therapy Intensives, you have the option to do these extended sessions (typically 2.5 hours or longer) in person at my Oakland, CA office or online via Zoom.
